On behalf of the Engage and Heal Foundation, HealthFest brings together the community to showcase the resources available in our backyard with live music, festivities, and fun for the whole family! The goal is to spread the word that it’s okay not to be okay.

Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 2 to 7 p.m.
at Star Hill Ranch located at 15000 Hamilton Pool Road in Bee Cave, TX

Inside the Festival

Located at Star Hill Ranch, HealthFest will house a “Wellness Town Experience” including talks about mental health, book signings, slow food trucks, and plenty of activities for families from Lakeway, Bee Cave, and the greater Austin Hill Country!

Our Mission

and Vision

Today, 1 in 5 adults experiences a mental health condition each year, 1 in 6 youth ages 6–17 faces a mental health disorder, and 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14. Yet stigma and a lack of mental health literacy continue to prevent too many people from seeking help when they need it most.

That’s why the Engage & Heal Foundation is proud to launch the first-ever HealthFest 2026. Our vision is to bring together the community to showcase mental health and wellness resources in our backyard while providing an immersive, entertaining experience. Our mission is to break the stigma of mental health, to educate, engage, and let the healing begin, right here in central Texas.

Key Event Areas Include:

  • Main Street Marketplace: Vendors
  • The Calm Studio & The Mindful House: Breathing and meditation exercises, Yoga
  • The Front Porch Main Stage: Main Stage for announcements, music
  • Little Advocates Kids Zone: tons of fun activities, young entrepreneurs, sensory experiences, playground
  • Zen Theatre: learn about mental health literacy, take home guides, screening tools
  • The Wellness Pavilion: food and drink
  • Community Mural: What helps your family thrive?
  • Wellness Discovery Trail (scavenger hunt): Stop at 5 main areas as you explore each feeling and learn about mental health, get stamp and win a prize (calm or stress kit)

Mental Health Can't Wait.

We know mental health and wellness is vital for individuals to thrive and holistically makes communities stronger.  Statistics provided by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) indicate:

  • 1 in 20 U.S. adults experience serious mental illness each year
  • 1 in 6 U.S. youth aged 6-17 experience a mental health disorder each year
  • 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14, and 75% by age 24
  • Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 10-14
  • 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year

Central Texas is not immune to the crisis posed by mental health challenges. The Engage and Heal Foundation was formed in response to a tragic loss. In 2018, Erik Hanson, a Lake Travis High School (LTHS) graduate – an honors student and varsity football player – and cadet in the corps at Texas A&M University, lost his struggle with mental health. Relentlessly bothered by the question, “What could I have done to prevent this?” Amelia Floyd, whose daughter was Erik’s best friend, set out to share resources with students and raise awareness about mental health challenges.
