Our Work
We help break the stigma of mental health
Mental health advocacy, literacy, and access to resources can prevent mental health crises and ultimately, can save lives. We partner with service providers and experts across the Central Texas community to bring mental health support to students, educators and caregivers.
While not a direct service provider, the Engage and Heal Foundation supports communities to encourage healthy dialogue and offers care resources to those in need.
We partner with mental health professionals to address real-world problems facing today’s students. We believe actionable change is possible through education and healthy, honest conversations.
Our Mission: “To equip youth with the tools, voice, and support they need to thrive mentally and emotionally — at school and in sports, activities, and life.”
OUR PROGRAMS
Prioritizing Student's Mental Health, First
Our programming prioritizes mental health for youth and the adults who support them through three core pillars:
1. Education, delivered through Mental Health Moment literacy seminars and workshops developed for students, their caregivers, educators and coaches, and the annual Engage and Heal Foundation Mental Health Symposium
2. Awareness and Advocacy, designed to break the stigma of mental health by delivering mental health literacy, campaigning through storytelling and community events, and empowering student and community ambassadors to start conversations and break down barriers.
3. Access to resources, access to care, provided through our referral partnerships and resource network, a digital calm space with interactive tools for youth, Anticipate Joy online therapy for educators and community partners, and Zen Rooms at local schools.
By knowing the signs, starting conversations, and teaching skills, we can engage individuals around us in a community that is dedicated to improving and maintaining strong mental health.
